HISTORY AND 

COMMITMENT

Established in 1982 by Alton S. Newell, founder of Newell Recycling and developer of the first scrap metal shredder. Mr. Newell opened River City Steel & Recycling in San Antonio, TX as an outlet for residential and commercial customers to dispose of their unwanted scrap metal. For more than 3 decades RCS has provided South Texans with quality scrap metal recycling services and steel materials.

Mr. Newell's grandson owns and operates River City Steel & Recycling under the same principles and business practices his grandfather pioneered himself on. At RCS we pride ourselves on honesty, integrity, and top quality customer service.
