River City Steel in the Community

River City Steel & Recycling, Inc. has been serving the steel needs of South Texans for over 28 years. Originally started by Alton S. Newell as a scrap feeder yard for Newell Recycling Company, River City Steel has become the largest new and used steel distribution center in South Texas. Our continued success is in part due to our ability to listen to our customers and adapt to the changes that are ahead of us. In 2011 River City Steel had diverted approximately 80 Million pounds of metal that might have ended up in the landfill. We provide various services to businesses (large and small), the San Antonio community, and walk in customers alike. We look forward to future and continued business.
